The Shrine
On the night of the 28th of October 04 the Feast of St Jude & the Shrine was virtually destroyed, The Augsberg Reliquary was in a very poor state of repair plus many more pieces of Silverware were unrecognisable. So I was asked by the Parish Priest to come & look at the damage, I was given 12 Greek Style Lantern in 2 black plastic bags & was told you might have to buy new chains. I replaced all the Greek Lanterns from Athens with the help of my friend Panagiotis, who made the Lanterns again to my specifications. I also restored the Reliquary, 2 Giant Greek Style Lanterns & if you ever go there you will see the Giant Lanterns as you go down the stairs from the Church. I also restored 10 Candle sticks in various sizes the Biggest were 6 feet high & needed 3 people to carry just one. A year later the Shrine on the Feast of St Jude the Shrine was completed & blessed again by the Arch Bishop & I hope you will agree that Stephen played a major part in the restoration
